Driver protection is required on current or former military training areas that are maintained by the Bundeswehr, farmers or contractors. Duds from military exercises or developments cannot be ruled out in these areas. The company Rheinmetall Defense at the Unterlüß location has developed an armored tractor cab for these operations together with the agricultural machinery dealer Rebo Landmaschinen GmbH from Visbek-Rechterfeld. Based on a John Deere 6215R in the Rebo-Rack version, the magazine "Stark - Faszination Landtechnik" took a close look at one of the first tractors with this cab for the cover story of issue 1/2019. As a supplement to this article, which contains various information about the development of the cabin, the fields of application and also the costs for this special construction, I accompanied the research appointment with my cameras.
